These are some photos from the first few hours of the first day of Makaila's life!
This is Makaila still on her cart about 2 hours after she was born by c-section. The bag she is in is to keep her warm and moist until they can get her temperature stable and into an incubator. - October 30th

That's remarkable, the size of her hand compared to your pinky finger! That must have been difficult to see them in plastic bags, with all those tubes, and being so little...yet, amazing how these two precious babies, no matter how traumatic their entry, are fighters to remain part of this world...size doesn't matter:)
